Roots Run Deep

We've partnered with the Shenandoah Valley Black Heritage Project to create unique tours of African-American history throughout Virginia.

The Shenandoah Valley Black Heritage Project's Roots Run Deep program guides locals and visitors to places mostly left out of local history books, and seeks to teach, share, and illuminate the stories of the people who lived there.

Traipse is proud to be the digital partner for this effort and we're excited to launch multiple new tours over the coming years.

NEW!

A tour of the city that'll take you by homes built and owned by freeborn families of the early 1800's, important sites which were destroyed in the 1960's, and historic landmarks that are still with us today.
